This last chapter I read was really unexpected. I thought
that Elisha would have stopped and wouldn’t have killed the captain but he did.
Also the author brings in the ghosts in this part of the story. I think that
the little boy’s ghosts played the biggest role. I did like how the author ended
the book even though I didn’t understand it well. I still think that the ending
could have been better but the author knows the best. I liked how the author
ended with this “Fear caught my throat. The tattered fragment of darkness had a
face. Looking at it, I understood the reason for my fear. The face was my own” when
I read this I saw that the author kind of left the readers in a state of
wondering of how Elisha felt or what he wanted to do. Overall this book was
pretty interesting and confusing but I liked it. What did you think of this
ending and the book?

Dawn- post 3 by Zibraan Ali
This story is taking a really nice turn in chapter 5. I did
see it coming because most times most books don’t end with a bad ending or a
character. I did like the fact on how the author brought in Prophet Elijah (who was the begger) that
changed Elisha’s mind. Elisha’s name is another name of Elijah so I liked that
the author used Prophet Elijah. Also I liked how the author brought in his
parent’s ghosts and his friends’ ghosts also to show him the right way to go. I
did not understand the fact where the author mentioned things about how the stomach
knows when it is time to die or not. I thought that it was kind of not relevant
to the story. The author has been really deep on what is happening and he
explains it very well. I would like to
know you point of view on these matters. What did you think about the use of
prophets, parents, and friends? Also what did you think on the stomach
situation? This book is pretty good right now and I like it. Also I noticed
that the author brought up a lot of characters in this book. I thought that
wasn’t that nice of a thing to do but what do you think? Overall I think that Elisha
won’t kill the captain and I think that he would be supported by his friends.

Dawn- Post 2 by Zibraan Ali
Chapter 3-4 was mostly about the past. The author was telling
the readers all about the past life of Elisha and the other characters. Also I thought
that this part wasn’t that important though it is just a thought. What did you
think? Also bring up a new character is really smart of the author. It
symbolizes a lot of things and it shows how Catherine showed Elisha how to
love. It also might teach Elisha many more things in the future. This chapter to me wasn’t really that good. I
thought it was just a brief history of Elisha’s past. I think the author should
have just gotten to the killing part of the Captain. There is not a lot to say
in this chapter though I have a few questions to you. Why do you think the
author randomly brought up this new character? What is the importance of these
chapters in the book? I would really like to see your sights on this chapter.

Dawn- Post 1 by Zibraan Ali
This book is called dawn and as far as I know this book is
the second of the trilogy part written by Elie Wiesel. While reading the first
section of the book I saw how the author mentioned the importance of dawn. Also
I noticed how the author explained night and day and how people were killed at
dawn. The starting of the book is pretty interesting to me and I think that the
author did a good thing with the start. Towards the middle I sort of got lost
and then I got caught up. Since Dawn is a fictional book after the holocaust I
didn’t really connect with the book because I have no personal connections or
experiences with the holocaust. Even though I didn’t really connect with the
book I really do like where it is. I think it is kind of obvious that Elisha
had to kill the captain. While reading the other chapter I saw that the author
had gotten of topic and started telling about Elisha and Gad. I thought that it
was kind of weird and not that nice. I think the author should have stuck to
the story. Also I thought that it is
really brave for Elisha who is only 18 to survive all the things that has
happened to him. While reading this book I got a lot of questions. Some of them
are how did they capture the captain without that much of trouble? I think the author
didn’t really put that much thought into it. Overall the book is pretty
interesting and I am looking forward to what happens next
