Chapter 3-4 was mostly about the past. The author was telling
the readers all about the past life of Elisha and the other characters. Also I thought
that this part wasn’t that important though it is just a thought. What did you
think? Also bring up a new character is really smart of the author. It
symbolizes a lot of things and it shows how Catherine showed Elisha how to
love. It also might teach Elisha many more things in the future. This chapter to me wasn’t really that good. I
thought it was just a brief history of Elisha’s past. I think the author should
have just gotten to the killing part of the Captain. There is not a lot to say
in this chapter though I have a few questions to you. Why do you think the
author randomly brought up this new character? What is the importance of these
chapters in the book? I would really like to see your sights on this chapter.
