This last chapter I read was really unexpected. I thought
that Elisha would have stopped and wouldn’t have killed the captain but he did.
Also the author brings in the ghosts in this part of the story. I think that
the little boy’s ghosts played the biggest role. I did like how the author ended
the book even though I didn’t understand it well. I still think that the ending
could have been better but the author knows the best. I liked how the author
ended with this “Fear caught my throat. The tattered fragment of darkness had a
face. Looking at it, I understood the reason for my fear. The face was my own” when
I read this I saw that the author kind of left the readers in a state of
wondering of how Elisha felt or what he wanted to do. Overall this book was
pretty interesting and confusing but I liked it. What did you think of this
ending and the book?
